DeSoto Chamber’s April Students of the Month were recognized yesterday at the March DeSoto County Chamber of Commerce "EARLY BIRD" event. DHS Principal White, and DMS Vice Principal Edsall, presented their school’s respective awards. Awardees were selected for demonstrating good character, diligence in completing assignments on time, and for being respectful to peers and teachers. Awardees for DHS were as follows: 9th Grade - Odalys Herrera Mendoza, 10th Grade - Daniela Benitez-Vidal, 11th Grade - Selina Ramirez, and 12th Grade: Melissa Viguerias Gonzalez. DMS awardees were: 6th Grade - Aidan Bunkley, 7th Grade - Taquarius Watson, and 8th Grade - Austin Pittman.
