DeSoto Students Benefit from “Links2success”

DeSoto Middle and High School students have enjoyed several valuable experiences through Link2success - an enriching educational nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide resources, services, experiences, and guidance to DeSoto County youth to help them achieve educational success.

Most recently, DeSoto High School students enrolled in the L2S College & Career Prep Program toured Florida Polytechnic University (located in Lakeland), and were presented with an informative overview of STEM Careers Their visit was made possible through the generous support of L2S supporters that included the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation.

Likewise, DeSoto Middle School students, enrolled in the L2S Youth Exploration Program, participated in a “plan for success” workshop where they learned principles of time management, and its impact on personal, professional, and academic achievement. Hope Cross, an organization that works with at-risk youth and families, facilitated the free workshop, and the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation offered charitable support.
