Last Friday, February 23, 2023, Nocatee Elementary School 5th grade students learned about Jamaica!
Their guest lecturer was Ms. Brown, their TPG teacher, who was born and raised in Jamaica. Ms. Brown presented an informative overview of Jamaica, and also organized a special "Facetime session" that allowed students to interact with peers from Jamaica!
The class lesson was a great opportunity for 5th graders to learn more about Jamaica's cultural background, allowed students to demonstrate an appreciation of diversity in a learning environment, and better understanding of the multicultural world we all live in.
