Education Dr. Jake Reynolds is honored to continue serving the DeSoto County School District as Deputy Superintendent. Now in his fourth year in this role, Dr. Reynolds oversees district operations, supports strategic planning, and works closely with schools to ensure programs and initiatives align with the district’s mission. He is deeply committed to instructional excellence and can often be found visiting classrooms, monitoring teaching and learning, and supporting administrators and educators as they work to provide engaging, high-quality instruction for all students. Dr. Reynolds brings a broad range of experience to the district. Before joining DeSoto County, he served as Director of Curriculum, Assessment, and Professional Learning, where he led PK–12 curriculum development, strengthened districtwide assessment systems, and supported the growth of instructional practice across all schools. His earlier experience includes teaching both middle and high school mathematics and serving as a district K–12 instructional specialist, supporting teachers across all grade levels. A teacher at heart, Dr. Reynolds believes that strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful learning experiences are at the core of student success. His work is committed to continuous improvement and ensuring every student in DeSoto County has access to the best possible educational opportunities. On a personal note, Dr. Reynolds enjoys spending time with his wife, Renée, and their three children: Jay (8), Hugh (4), Jolié (2). Dr. Reynolds remains grateful for the opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of DeSoto County and looks forward to continuing this important work. |
