The School District of DeSoto County serves approximately 4,300 students in the heart of a close-knit and scenic agricultural community located about 40 miles east of Sarasota, Florida.

Our district is comprised of six schools serving students from prekindergarten through grade 12: Memorial Elementary School, West Elementary School, Nocatee Elementary School; DeSoto Middle School; DeSoto County High School; and DeSoto Secondary School.

We are proud to provide a strong educational foundation for students throughout DeSoto County while working closely with families, community partners, and local organizations to create opportunities for every student to succeed.
