We have almost completed the 1st semester of the 2022-2023 school year! It has been a challenge, but you all have risen to the occasion Let’s make sure we finish the semester out Bulldog Strong! Turn in all missing assignments and make sure you let your teacher know you have turned in those missing assignments. Complete all DBA’s with your teachers! Also, check to see if you need to complete all or any of the 8 modules of the required Mental Health & Substance Abuse training from the state of Florida

Enjoy your Christmas Holidays and be ready to return on January 3, 2023 to learn and make straight A’s!

Remember all DVA students may participate in sports and extracurricular activities at their assigned brick-and-mortar school while they are enrolled in DVA!
All DVA graduates will be able to walk with DHS at the graduation ceremony!
DVA had a 100% graduation rate!!!! We are so proud of our DVA seniors and wish them the best in their next part of their journey after high school!

We are so glad you chose to be part of DVA in 2022-23!

DVA Parent Surveys were sent to your emails! A BIG Thank You to the parents/guardians that took the time to complete the parent surveys to provide feedback to help us better educate your child/children!

Welcome DeSoto Virtual Academy Families to the 2021-2022 school year!

As online learners establishing clear expectations and setting realistic goals for your child is imperative to success. It is vital to create a proper learning environment and encourage active participation in online activities. Please prepare an unobtrusive learning space free of distractions such as cell phones, tv’s, games, etc. Students please check in and complete your attendance every day and don't forget to click the submit button at the bottom of the page or you will be counted as an unexcused absence. Monitor academic performance, progress throughout the school year, and contact your teacher regarding concerns or to request further help. We teach and expect all students to exercise and display good Digital Citizenship. Please encourage this with your child as well. Also, make sure to monitor students’ mental health and contact the school for supplementary resources and support if you notice any changes in your child’s mood or a resistance to engage in online learning.

At DeSoto Virtual Academy, we will strive to create the best learning environment for our students online, and with all of us working together, I know we will make this happen

Looking forward to a great year and Go Bulldogs!
