Dear Parents,

WELCOME BACK!  The front office staff would like to remind you of the following important items:

1.             Your child is receiving an Emergency Card in their first day packet.  Please take the time this evening to complete this form (even if you filled one out last year) and return it to the school tomorrow, August 21.  This form will help us to contact you in case of an emergency.

2.           PLEASE!  If you are planning on visiting your child’s class, having lunch with your child, or having a parent/teacher conference, we ask that you please sign in at the office and receive a visitor’s pass to be on campus for the safety and security of our students.  Teachers cannot allow visitors into their classrooms unless they have already checked in with the office and are wearing a visitor’s pass.

3.           WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS!  If you are interested in volunteering as a mentor, a “room parent”, or are interested in donating your time to West in any capacity, please pick up a volunteer form from Ms. Stefek in the office.  Those who are already volunteers for West should pick up an updated form from Ms. Stefek as well.

4.          Morning:  The school day begins at 7:35 a.m.  Students are tardy at the 7:45 a.m. bell.  Please have your child here on time, prepared for their day (including school materials and lunch).

Afternoon:  The school day ends with the first Release Bell at 2:10 p.m.  You are encouraged to not pick up your child early, unless it is for an emergency, since class instruction continues until the end of the day.  All parent pick-up students should be picked up no later than 2:30 p.m.
