DeSoto County High School’s

Project Graduation 2008

Attention Parents of DeSoto County High School Juniors and Seniors:

On behalf of the future of DeSoto County, specifically our youth, we are asking for your help.  Statistics show that the two highest risk nights for teens involved in alcohol-related traffic tragedies are prom and graduation.  To prevent the loss or serious injury of any one of our graduating seniors, The Rotary Club of Arcadia, in conjunction with DeSoto County High School parents, are sponsoring our first Project Graduation.  This is an all-night, alcohol/drug/smoke-free celebration designed to keep DCHS graduates SAFE.

We need the assistance of parents with graduating Seniors, as well as, the help of Junior parents.  Involved parents are what will get Project Graduation going and growing each year.  Parents will plan, fundraise, decorate, promote, and volunteer the night of the event.

Please mark your calendars and join us for our next scheduled meeting on Monday,

March 10th at the Family Service Center Annex building, 310 West Whidden Street, Arcadia, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer to help, contact Leslie Bickett at 494-4133 ext. 269, Ann Bursa at 990-1878, or Judy Kirkpatrick at 444-0664.

Donations may be made payable to Rotary Foundation, Project Graduation and mailed to:  Project Graduation, PO Box 2537, Arcadia, FL  34265.
