5/9 ATTENTION ALL DHS STUDENTS: Do not store games or upload music on your server which is where your “MY DOCUMENTS” folder stores all of your files. THIS IS CONSIDERED A MUSUSE OF NETWORK RESOURCES AND WILL RESULT IN A DISCIPLINE REFERRAL.
5/9 STUDENTS; Thank you for attending the Prom 2008. We hope you had a wonderful time. Everyone was elegantly dressed and well behaved. We are very proud of all of you and we appreciate your support. Mrs. LaCava and Mrs. Lawrence. The following items were found at the Turner Center. If you are missing any of these items please come to the Media Center to claim them.

Prom pictures have arrived and are available for pick up in the Media Center. If you are wishing to share photos taken at the Prom, please bring them to Mrs. LaCava in the Media Center anytime.
5/9 STUDENTS: Any student interested in running for class office for the 2008-2009 school year you must pick up a nomination form in the front office. Nomination forms are due to Mr. Steele today. Once nominations are approved you may begin to campaign for offices. Any student interested in running for student government office for the 2008-2009 school year must also pick up a nomination form from the front office. 5/14 ATTENTION ALL ART STUDENTS: This is a call for all of this year’s Art Students. If you have work that Ms. Heuer requested for the Art Show--- please bring it to her ASAP.
5/14 ATTENTION CLASS OF 2011: there will be a class meeting Wednesday, May 14th at 3:15 in Mr. Klossner’s room. Please make plans to attend.
5/15 FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS: You are invited to attend the American Sign Language Concert Thursday, May 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the DHS Cafeteria. The concert is free, and open to parents and community.
5/15ATTENTION RENAISSANCE STUDENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Please plan to attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, May 15th at 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. in Ms. Heuer’s room, 301C
5/15 FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS: The DCHS Visual Arts Show will take place on Friday May 16th in the Media Center. Doors will open at 9:00 A.M. and the show will end at 3:30 P.M. Please come by to see the amazing artistic talents of our own students.
5/16 STUDENTS: BOOK FINE FORGIVENESS WEEK AT THE MEDIA CENTER. Monday, May 12th – Friday, May 16th, Return your overdue library books and your fine will be deleted during this time. ALL library books must be returned to the Media Center by Friday, May 16th. Seniors a reminder that you will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony unless your overdue books and fines are taken care of.
5/16 ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Do you need help in the areas of math, reading, science, or social studies? If so, you can access free tutoring online!! 5/16 ATTENTION JUNIORS: It is time to choose your class song, motto, colors and flower. This information will be placed on your graduation announcements which will be chosen before the school year is over. Please turn in your selections to Mrs. LaCava no later than Friday, May 16th. Forms are available in the Media Center if you need one.
5/20 ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: There will be a class meeting on Tuesday May 20th at 5:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church. Please see a class officer for directions. It is important that you attend to be a part of next year’s planning.
5/30 GRADUATING SENIORS: MANDATORY DRESS CODE FOR SENIOR AWARDS, BACCALAUREATE, GRADUATION PRACTICES AND GRADUATION!!!!!
Proper attire for Male Graduates: Dark dress pants ( black or navy), and black dress shoes. NO TENNIS SHOES. A white, button down, dress shirt with a collar and a dark tie ( black or navy). NO NECK JEWELRY.
Proper Attire for Female Graduates: A plain dark dress, ( you do not want it to show through) that follows the regular school dress code. Black dress shoes. We suggest that the ladies not wear heels that are too high, Please wear comfortable shoes. NO NECK JEWELRY.
NO CHEWING GUM ALLOWED AT ANY OF THE ABOVE FUNCTIONS!!!! ALSO PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONES, I-PODS, OR ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES TO ANY OF THE ABOVE FUNCTIONS.
5/30 ATTENTION JUNIORS: Completed order forms and payment for your 08-09 senior jersey must be turned in to Mrs. LaCava by Friday, May 30th. This will ensure you having your jerseys for the first pep rally of the 08-09
6/1 ATTENTION ALL MALE SENIORS: Any male Senior who plans to attend Florida State University, please stop by Mrs. Petrey’s office and pick up a scholarship application. The deadline is June 1, 2008.
6/1 STUDENTS: Any student that is interested in applying for the Student Advisory Board with Tampa Bay Buccaneers please see Mrs. Petrey to pick up an application.
