May 8, 2006

Attendance:   Karen Allen, Shirley Adcock, Lucille LaCava, Dan Dubbert, Jolaine Konstantidinis, Lois Heine, Celia Bateman, Jackie Brucker, Dennis Brucker, Tim Backer, Wendy Muse, Jenni Cross

The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Karen Allen. Meeting taken over by Tim Backer at 5:35.p.m.

I.                   Minutes:    approved by a Bateman/Adcock motion

II.                Treasurer’s Report:  approved by all

III.             Old Business:   Slate of officers: Chairperson – Tim Backer

                                                                    Vice Chairperson – Karen Allen

                                              Tim Backer will remain Chairperson and Karen Allen

                                              will remain Vice Chairperson approved by a

                                              Konstantinidis/Adcock  motion.     

                                              The positions of Secretary and Treasurer are still open.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

IV.              Reports:

A.      Renaissance – no report.

B.      Classes:

                         Seniors – Gradnite took place on May 6^th. Students were

                                          well behaved.  Finalizing Senior Awards Night,

                                          Baccalaureate and Graduation.

                        Juniors –  Class meeting on May 9^th. Nothing but good

                                          comments about the Prom.

                        Sophomores – Class meeting tonight. Officer Elections on

                                                                   May 9^th.

                        Freshmen – Mrs. Brucker reported that the class car wash

                                             that occurred in April raised $400.00. This

                                             Summer they will work on building a bulldog.

C.  Principal’s Report: 

                                  Mr. Dubbert thanked everyone for supporting SAC.    

                                  He shared with us that he attended Gradnite.  

                                  Top 10% May 11^th

                                  Baccalaureate May 14^th

                                  Senior Awards May 16^th

                                  Graduation May 19^th

                                  Spring Football Game May 20^th

                                  Retirement party for 6 teachers May22nd

                                  Mr. Dubbert will be attending the Teach-in this June

                                  to recruit new teachers for the coming school year.

                                  Exams will take place next week. There will be early

                                  release on May 19^th and 20^th.

    V.           New Business :     none                                        

    VI.         Discussion  -  Mrs. Nugent asked about the FCAT results. Sophomores

                                          received the writing test results.

                                          Class  Officer elections will be done by electronic ballot and

                                          will begin at 8:25. Sponsors are asked to help.

    VII.       Adjournment - Meeting adjourned at 5:58 p.m.

Next meeting will be Monday, September 11, 2006 at 5:30 p.m., in room #210.
