Superintendent's Message

 

 

Dr. Bennett is greatly honored to be the superintendent of the school district. He is grateful for the effective leadership and work by his predecessor, Mr.  Adrian Cline, and the school board members. Dr. Bennett knows that a robust financial foundation has been built throughout the district. He now seeks to lead the district to close achievement gaps and increase student proficiency.  Dr. Bennett stated, “We must prepare our students to assume their roles as productive adults that are prepared for the challenges of life”

 

Dr. Bennett is a graduate of Warner Southern College where he graduated with a degree in Physical Education. He later earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.  He continued his educational attainment at Liberty University earning a specialist degree and a doctoral degree in educational leadership. During his career he has served as a teacher, head football coach, athletic director, and school administrator in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. 

 

Mrs. Amy Bennett is Dr. Bennett’s wife, and they have been married for more than 30 years. Mrs. Bennett was a teacher in Desoto County, Polk County and Walton County Florida.  She also holds a variety of educational experiences in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina.  Mrs. Bennett also holds an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. The couple met at the FACA coaching clinic in Altamonte Springs. Their daughter Taylor is a marketing director in North Georgia. Twin daughters, Brittany and Brooke are teachers at Hardee High School and Wauchula Elementary respectively. Abigail is a December graduate from Florida State University.

 

Dr. Bennett is thankful to lead our school district. His vision is for each student to have a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment that prepares them to assume productive positions in society.
