presentation on DeSoto County School Impact Fees. The presentation was for
informational purposes
only; there was no action required.

Information
Superintendent Cline
updated the board members on any damage that the district received from
Hurricane Wilma. Superintendent Cline reported there were
minor leaks and W.G. Mills is already
and down and repairing
them.
Superintendent Cline
mentioned that the DeSoto Middle School gymnasium was opened as a Red
Cross shelter which
housed around 450 people.
Superintendent Cline
complimented Sara Spas excellent communication with the press in getting
Hurricane Wilma press
releases out.
Superintendent Cline
also complimented the administration at each school site for their hard work
to complete the site
assessments after Hurricane Wilma.
Lenora Brewer asked how
the Memorial modulars held- up during the storm. Superintendent Cline
responded that they
sustained only minor damages which have been reported back to the
company.

everyone to attend the volleyball game tomorrow at the high school.
Rodney Hollingsworth
complimented Mr. Cline and staff on their excellent job getting out
hurricane updates to
everyone so quickly.
