Summer
Reading Challenge
Mr. Bremer, Principal of DeSoto Middle
School, challenged all the incoming fifth graders, and the
rising sixth and seventh graders of DMS to read, read, read over
the summer. The challenge was to read for 25 hours. Mr. Bremer
treated the students who met the Summer Reading Challenge to a
cook out. These students met the challenge and some of them went
beyond the 25 hours of reading. The students also got to select
two free books to continue with their reading.
