The students have been in training since last July ’09, and they
finished their last clinical day at Sarasota Memorial Hospital
just a few days prior to graduating. The entire program
consists of 1, 350 hours of combined classroom theory and
clinicals.
We would like to take this time to say
“THANK-YOU” for all of the time and efforts provided by the
health care staff and use of facilities in the following
clinical rotation sites: DeSoto Memorial Hospital, Center For
Family Health, DeSoto Home Health Care and Physical Therapy, Dr.
Kiersa Durfee’s OB-GYN Clinic, DeSoto County Public Health
Department and the DeSoto County School Clinics, DeSoto Health
and Rehabilitation, The Florida Hospitals in Sebring and
Wauchula, and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The nursing students,
also, got to participate in attending field trips to the
following health care facilities: Health South Rehab of
Sarasota, The Florida Institute of Neurological Rehabilitation,
and Shriner’s Childrens’ Hospital of Tampa.
Congratulations GPN’s!
