On Monday, September 20 four cadets from the Bulldog Battalion presented AMVETS with the JROTC events for the year. The cadets who attended were as follows: Battalion Commander Pamela Cox, Command Sergeant Major Tyler Edwards, Battalions S-3 Stacy Yarborough, and Bravo Company Commander Justin Mayo.

On Wednesday, September 22 Mr. Needs Presented DCHS JROTC Battalion Commander Pamela Cox with a check for $250.00 to support the JROTC program. AMVETS supports the JROTC because of its impact upon students and the community. The program participates in activities such as, parades, visiting Arcadia Oaks and Florida VET Home, and color guards for many community events such as, Veterans Day, 4th of July, Christmas Card Lane, and many more.
