Application Process
Please review these
important changes to the Application
Process.
-
As of January 13,
2012, the School District of DeSoto is
using a new system to process
employment applications.
Even if you have applied before, you
must create a new user profile, and complete a new application with
the District. Applicant data from the old
system is not being
migrated to the new system.
-
If you are a current
employee with the School District of
DeSoto, and you wish to apply for a new
position, please do not
use the link at the bottom of this page.
Instead, current employees should click
here to access the
Employee Access system, log in with your account
credentials, and look for the [Fast Track Open
Positions] button.
Please read this information thoroughly,
and then click the link at the bottom of this page to view job
postings and access the online application.
-
Complete the application in
full by answering all pertinent questions and
attaching all required documents (e.g., diplomas,
transcripts, certificates, references, etc.)
-
Your completed application will be
kept on file for one year after receipt.
-
All job vacancies are posted on this
website, available by clicking the link below.
Vacancies are also posted in the district office and at all
schools/departments in the District. Vacancy information
may also be obtained by calling our Job Hotline
at (863) 494-4222, ext. 1.
-
DeSoto County School District
supports the American Disabilities Act of 1990, and we will
take all reasonable steps to accommodate individuals using
our services, programs, and activities. Please notify
Human Resources in advance if you require any
accommodations or assistance.
-
The School District requires all
employees to be fingerprinted and meet Level 2 Screening
Requirements as described in §1022.32 F.S. The
fingerprint fee of $57.25 is charged to the employee and is
payable by credit card, debit card, or money order.
-
Pre-employment drug screening is
required for all job applicants selected to fill vacancies
or new positions. Refusing to take the pre-employment drug
screen, a positive result, altering the screen, or
inconclusive test results will disqualify any candidate from
employment and any offer will be withdrawn.
If you have any questions, please call the
School District's Human Resources Office at (863) 494-4222, ext.
135, or fax us at (863) 494-9675.
